Tropicals, By the pond
Wow, both are great pictures. That dark leafed canna is awesome.
Dee, is this at your new home? Gorgeous!!!
Brugie, thanks. That is "Red King Humbert", and I really like it too.
Chel, no it's at the house that we are in the process of moving out of(sniff, sniff). We are making out final trip, on Monday. But, I will be back in the fall to dig, and help my daughter and son in law(who will be moving in here) get the pond ready for winter.. Thanks, for the compliment. I really have enjoyed the pond.
Dee
Dee,it looks great,I hope you get to have a pond at your new place, you sure have a nice touch.
Thanks, Root. Ya know, I've been thinking........since we ARE moving to Ohio, maybe I swing by and get Chel's gang to help me work on a new pond. LOL ..Seriously, I do hope to add one, but it will probably be smaller. The one we have now, is 11x17, and 4 ft.deep in the deep end. I love it, but I don't think I'm up to hand diggin' one that size.
Dee
Yeah that Chele, she can bring some manpower to a job,or I should say Girl power!!
GIRL
POWER!
LOL
Oh Dee, I would love it if you stopped by! I still owe you a *something* of your choice for the petasites. :) Thanks a bunch!!
Hey, I just finished digging my new smaller pond-10' round, 3'deep. I'm primed. Just point and hand me a shovel. LOL
we just built a pond in our back yard....im looking at all different kinds of things...i have a few things in containers right now...
its nice to have a pond and have a little fall to listen to isn;t it?
we have goldfish and guppies in there right now..very happy fishies....the pond plants are so pretty....
The pond and everything is beautiful!
Chele, maybe there will be an Ohio get together next summer. If so, I'd love to come, and meet you, and other Buckeye gardeners. You are about 3-31/2 hrs. from where we are moving(gallipolis). It is 109 miles SE of Columbus.
Floridagurl46,you are gonna love your pond! It will bring all kinds of wild life to your yard.since adding ours, we have more birds, tons of frogs(every night we have our own symphony), different little lizardy things(lol), dragonflies, and we even have a garter snake that lives in the rocks that make up falls. I haven't run the falls full time this year, and the water lilies are doing so much better. As far as plants go, that's been all trial and error, for me. Every year, I take out some plants and add others.lol
