White Pearl - confused

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

White Pearl is a bit confused this year. Some flowers are single, while others are triple or have more tips as usual.
White Pearl is just as confused as the our weather is lol.

Still a beauty,do you find it hard to evaluate them with your weather being screwy this year? If White Pearl is acting odd,it really must be hard on your younger ones.

Whitewater, WI

LOL, Monika I wish all of my brugs would get as "confused".

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

No, I cannot evaluate in a year like this. It is very difficult to evaluate a new seedling. White Pearl is many years old, I know, what her flower supposed to look like. It is different with a seedling.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

She is so pretty, and has given you so many pretty babies. I just wish the weather would straighten up everywhere!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I consider her to be a top motherplant. White Pearl blooms almost nonstop.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

She is certainly one I would choose, based on the babies you have gotten from her. She is also very pleasing to the eye.

A pic of one of Monika's White Pearl babies ~ this is a Monika seedling, Peach Chiffon.

What fun this morning to wake up to so many Monika pics. I love them all!! Yours is pretty hot too Liz!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I love the pics too Monika and Liz. I can't wait to see more of her offspring. Peach Chiffon is pretty.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

And here is Carissa. Another of Monika's babies from White Pearl.

Does Carissa smell good? I have Simone from that cross and she smelled like hyacinths.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I have one of Monikas seedlings blooming right now
It wasen't anything earth shattering,so it will remain un named, but I like how it goes from white to a very light yellow and blooms quite a lot.(Plus I want those genes)
I also like the leaves and the shape

Don't give up yet CC, it might change.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Nice shape Karyn.

Yes, Susie, she smells great but I can't tell you what she smells like.

Nice shape to the flower. Pollinate it with something pink.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I like them all. This year has been so weird with the weather everywhere.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

They are all just beautiful!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yea CC, put some pink on it! I wonder if any of my Simone X Rosamond seedlings are out there anywhere?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I just planted some Rosamond x Pink pearl seeds tonight from you Susie. I thought they were Simone, but they were PP.
Has anyone had any bloom from this cross yet that you know of? (R xPP)

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Carissa looks good. Has she already bloomed this year?

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Liz!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Jeanne's got a nice from this cross too, Felicite.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Monika, Carissa has only had two or three blooms, but I noticed last night she has a few more that will open very soon.

Syracuse, NY

beautiful plant. i understand with your weather tuesday we had 4 inches of rain and more today and on saturday.

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

I am hoping we get a little rain,I am afraid we won't...

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is hot here now!
I am anxious to see the flower of Carissa. Is it the first summer flower, Shirley?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That was last fall Monika. Her first flower this year was deformed. Each petal had two tendrils and they were short and fat. She will open a couple of new ones tonight.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Bob D. , take some shots of your brugs, and yes the rain is out of control here
Root come on up here and take some of the rain away

Shirley, did you take any shots of the deformed flower?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yes Bob,Get that camera out!
CC,I just came in from watering,I'll take some,it was cloudy all day, cool,by the end, sunny and warm, from now on,it will be HOT!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

No I didn't. She is so tall I don't think I could have managed it. I looked at her tonight and there is another one that has some funny tendrils. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

dry in Kansas, flooding here with daily rain.I hope this does not forebode the future. I have family reunion today at a park. The picnic tables do have a shelter over them but it's still going to be soggy and miserable, I'll bet.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

That's too bad. Family reunions should be a good time, not worrying about wet feet and bums (rears). Hope you manage to have a great time, even if it is wet.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Guess what! It cleared up! I took a big bucket of yellow iris rhizomes from those I have been thinning in our community center planters and gave away 10 packs of them! I also took fresh sliced peaches and cream. The peaches went fast but the macaroni salad was a bust. Never again.
I guess I'll have to go back to the decadent cheesecakes.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I would like some peaches and cream!! I have never had that. You just pour in straight cream over sliced peaches? I just happen to have some peaches from the farmers' market today. And since Brugie is not here to make me a peach pie, I am on my own!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm here Kell, but I don't bake at midnight. LOL!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Betty never came back!! And you Brugie were away too! So Tom just now made a fruit salad with vanilla yogurt on top. Very good! I also have a fresh strawberry/raspberry mixed drink here. They go down way to easily!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Mmmmm, that sounds tasty. Wouldnt say no if I was offered one (or better) of all the food lol

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes, you just pour half and half or whipping cream over the peaches. Here's a tip I found. If you are dieting or a diabetic and want to sweeten your peaches, Sweet "n Low and Equal will NOT bring out the juices in the peaches like sugar does. However, Splenda will! I suppose it is because Splenda is made from sugar.
monika, sorry about hi-jacking your thread.
I took a bucket full of the prepared peahes to my family reunion yesterday and a quart of half-n-half. It was all gone real quick.
