Okay folks! I was staring at my microwave last night, and I think it's had its uses. It was originally purchased to feed me through grad school. It did a great job. However, it's getting to be too small for day-to-day usefulness. For example, I bought a bag of that "Uncle Ben's" rice that you just break up the rice, open the bag to vent, then microwave for 90 seconds. After folding the top of the bag down (because it was too big for the microwave), I had to count to 90 out loud, since I don't have a digitcal read-out. My "timer" runs on a little dial, and anything under 2 minutes, it's better to count it out, or hope it's in there long enough.
So, if you're at home, look at your microwave. Do you like it? How long have you had it? What brand is it? Do you have any idea how large it is, and how powerful?
Please share your microwave's most detailed descriptions with me, as I try to decide what to look for when I go "nuker shopping".
Thanks,
-Jennifer
