DSL connection shutting off all the time

We are all networked here - have 4 computers on it. But the main computer, that it is all networked through keeps shutting off. Not a prob for me when I'm down here in the basement, but the kids upstairs have to come down and reload the password for just the MS login. Anyone have a clue of why this is happening? Please read what I said carefully. I think it's a computer glitch on our main computer, which is our server.
