I need suggestions, help, support, etc. from any of you who have thought of starting your own gardening business. Any of your thoughts, ideas, experiences, yadda-yadda-yadda would be very much appreciated!
Beginning a garden business
I started my own back yard garden business 3 years ago to basically thin out my daylilies and I am happy I did. It has been a lot of fun. I don't make tons of money but I have fun doing what I do.
There is a book by Tony Avent called "So you want to start a nursery..." I heard it is very hepful. There is also the web link I'm including below. Tony is with Plant Delights Nursery - one of my favorite catalogs and web sites. It is as much fun to read his description of the plants as it is to look at the photos! I noticed you are in Jefferson City Missouri...I lived the for awhile in the 1980's and most of my family lives there or nearby still. If you've lived there for any length of time I'm sure we know a lot of the same people...
