This is my white datura...reseeds itself every year in Ohio.
White Datura
Very nice one,I think this is the best smelling of them all.
I love it too and hope I'll be as fortunate as you and that mine will reseed too!!!
Marcy, I like your datura. I only have a couple of them this year. Do you have brugs too?
I may have seeds off my yellow this year, let me know if you would like to try them.
Root, if that was for me, thank you very much, I'd love some if you have enough. Please excuse the ring, if it wasn't for me. Do you put them straight in the ground or do you start them inside?? Whatever, next year, I'm going to try them in the ground...
Looks great Marcy! I have been trying to find some seeds for this one. :o) Rooty, Shirley?? Do you know the name?
Shelly, I'm not good at datura names. I just call them all PRETTY!!
I got daturas the first time I traded for brugs! I used to love the white ones that opened at night and smelled so good.
I know that Daturas and Marsh Mallow is not the same thing, but so many people here call Marsh Mallow, Jimson Weed, which is a Datura, huh??? TIA!!
Hi everyone..and thanks! I will save seed from these if anyone needs them. Just let me know.
Rootdoctor...I would love some yellow seeds too if you have enough.
Brugie...Yes I do have brugs. Have had them for several years now. They came from Tropicman. However..they don't seem to be blooming well this year..probably due to the very cool weather and rain we have had. August and September will most likely be hot hot hot! Then maybe I will get blooms!
Sherrylike...Jimson weed is definitely the "wild" version of Datura. We have Jimson weed growing in the fields around here...and these Daturas look just like them..only prettier.
And usually..after the farmers spray...the Jimson weed dies off...a good thing!
Thanks again everyone.
Marcy, this one is Datura Inoxia I believe, mine is just getting its first bloom,so no telling yet if I will get a mature pod,I will keep you in mind!
