I was looking Stormy over to see if she had any signs of the mange returning when I saw the bumpy sore here. At first I thought maybe it was a mite cluster or something. But now I am thinking it is a spider bite. What do you think. Has anyone had a dog get a spider bite before? Her skin is so super short that it seems she has no protection from anything. She had been digging around next to the privacy fence that encloses the patio, and there are spiders there. She was laying in some vinca major that grows there. I left her do it not thinking of any insects that could be there.
I gave her some benedryl and put some ointment on the bite. I will take her to the vet if it appears to worsen.
