Feeding Frenzy

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

There were so many hummers at the oriole feeder, I could hardly count them. I did count 12 at this feeder. 3 at a feeder about 10 feet away, and another 2 at a feeder about 20 feet in a different direction. There are four more feeders at the other side of the house. It finally cooled off enough so i could comfortably set on the recliner on the deck near the feeder. For some reason they just love that oriole feeder. The orioles didn't happen to come by while I was trying to get a shot of the many hummers at the feeder. Donna

WOW!! Maybe we should switch to oriole feeders - though I don't think there are that many hummers in my neighborhood.

Wow, what a wonderful pic. We certainly don't have that many on our feeders.

I have to take mine in the morning when it's almost still dark. This guy was hiding from another hummer, in my rose bush!

Hunger got the best of him and he came out of hiding. That's the rose bush behind him.

It's funny, I have two feeders. These guys don't really go to them. I have two honeysuckles and 10 passiflora, Abutilon, etc. That may be the reason.
