I didn't realize this one was going to be so small. A wild guess would be 2-1/2 inches across. She isn't nearly as red as I thought she would be either. Somewhat of a disappointment, but still pretty in her own way.
P. Lady Margaret in the rain...
Yes, I agree with you, Shirley. She is small but pretty.
Yes, very pretty. I like that color. Wish it would rain here. I just went outside to change some water, it is 100 degrees and very hot, but at least we have practically no humidity. Last winter i carried my two Passion vines over with in the greenhouse in 12" pot and had sporadic bloom all winter. Is it best to trim the vines down to a few inches in the fall? Donna
Thanks Clare and Donna. I do like this one.
Donna, if I hold them over, I have to do it in the house and that means a severe hair cut for them, but they seem to hang in there for me. My problem comes when I plant one in the ground. I can't seem to get them to live once I dig them up and I sure can't get cuttings to take.
I have a small one that bloomed today, Morifolia, about 1 inch across.. I have not had time to take a photo (grandkids are driving me nuts)..............................................
Antoinette, how much longer will the kids be there? I hope they help you out sometimes. Bet you are really tired. It is fun having them around, but I am always ready for them to go home so I can rest up.
Two weeks, 2 days, and 10 hours, but, who's counting..lol..
I forgot how to control kids, so I am learning quite a bit.. They will leave on the 11th of August and their mother will meet me at the airport to accompany them home.. They are just kids but they wear me out. My 7 year old GD asked me why my eyes were purple, so I looked at myself in the mirror.. I have bags, (bigger than normal) lol, I am not getting the sleep that I usually do..
Two months is just too long to have children over when you are not used to it. Will be glad when their school starts.. I miss gardening. They help with a few things, but the temps here just are too hot for them to be outside, so they must be entertained inside until it gets cooler. They are smart as weasels too.
I've thought about you a lot. When they are gone, take a couple of days and just relax. You deserve it.
Brugie, I think lots of people think the blooms will be huge because of the glamorous Logee picture. I felt the same way. The first year vine blooms ok, but my 3 yr old vine has loved the daily thunderstorms and extreme heat down here. It is starting to have lots of blooms. I like the raspberry petals and the way they set off the white center. I've seen some LM flrs with a dark androgynophor ( the arrangement in the middle of the fillaments). Yours is perfectly white--very nice.
Thanks Flicker. I know absolutely zip about passiflora and their parts. I had to stop and move slowly when I saw that word androgynophor. Thanks for explaining what it is. I've never seen that before.
I agree, she may be small but she is definately beautiful!
Hey Flicker, you should add "androgynophor" to Garden Terms. I checked and it isn't in there.
Thanks ML...I don't think I'll toss her just yet, but would like to see her put out more blooms.

Right, she is a dainty little thing.
IowaGal, if you want cuttings, be sure you get here before I whack on her to take her inside.
