I have grown leonotis leonurus before..it gets too tall here some as high as 12 feet.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I have this one and no sign of buds yet, but it is kind of lost in the flower bed and probably not getting nearly enough sun.

I wanna try the leonotis leonurus just to freak out the neighbors. Anything to get people talking. LOL

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

I like the mini version... cute... that would be nice to plant underneath the taller version.

If the get some your welcome to them!

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9b)

Mine bloomed and then is just nice frilly foliage. should I cut off the old blooms to maybe get it to bloom again? What do you fertilizer wise? Someoen suggested cutting it all the way down to the earth....seems a bit drastic. Mine is about 15" tall and seems to remain at that height.

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

They're supossed to like alot of nitrogen. That's all I know.

I'm growing the big one and it's just started to put out buds. It looks as if it'll flower when I won't be home to see it.
