water hyacinth

This is my first year for water hyacinth. I first put them in my shade pond(in June) and they multiplied but did not bloom. I then moved the babies and purchased a few more and placed them in an all sun pond plus my big pond (1/2acre) and they still are not blooming!!!! Anyone have some wisdom?

Try putting them in a pail of H20 and Miracle Gro for a couple of hours (feed them ~ once a week). Be sure to rinse them well before reintroducing them to your ponds. ;)

Thanks. We are at the fair showing animals this week, so I'll give that a try this weekend.
