This spring I set out these two little seedlings. Of course they wouldn't get to big up in my cold climate. Wrong. The passi is on a 6 foot cattle panel. The density of it's foliage is protecting the brug from the west winds. . . . but it is also reaching out to strangle the brug! Next year it will be different! A friend has given me a ruler and instructed me to USE it!

Green thumb?? Do I see buds on the P. Flwr.?

Would love to see a picture in Vines and Climbers when all those passiflora buds open up. That should be awesome. Looks like it won't be long before your brug throws some blooms too. I'd say put down the ruler and do as you have been. They are looking just great. (actually, a little space between climbers and anything else is a good thing)

Yes, those are blooms on the Passi. There are 100's of them. To date they have been opening 2 - 6 a day. They are heavenly! Since we are new to tropicals I have been pointing out our tropicals to DH. He picked himself up off of the ground and began to relax when I explained that I would be taking cuttings - not WE digging all of them up. LOL. I will post to the other forum when or if passies bloom as a mass. I posted the picture here to show how two feet at the bottom suddenly has become no feet at the top.

You don't even want to see a picture of my beds. Talk about needing a ruler. LOL!

Nice seedling! Is that bloom from the brug in your first pic? Looks like you know how to grow some big plants!
