Welcome to you both...and here is another SW Ohioan...! I'm NW of Dayton...near the Indiana border. This is a great garden site!

Toledo, OH(Zone 6a)

Hello from Toledo! I'm a transplant from Cincinnati (many years ago). I love perennials and my pond. I'm always looking for more blooming perennials for late in the year - like now when everything is starting to look pretty tired.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Hi, ehamilton - welcome to DG! :)

Toledo, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the welcome, gardenwife. Our climates aren't too far apart, although I'm sure you're often a tad bit warmer and maybe a little wetter than we are up north. We seem to miss most of the big storms as they skip over this end of Lake Erie.

Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi, again, Minihostalovr, Melissa, gardenwife and everybody...

Yes, we certainly have a nice group of Ohio area DG gardeners. We are loving the beautiful September weather here--wonderful time to be putting in perennials! There's so much to learn about midwestern gardening having moved from zone 9 CA this year and finding gardening quite different. It's great to be in such nice (and knowledgeable!) company.

And, of course, we're looking forward to the Cincinnati Fall Flower Show http://www.cincyflowershow.com/fallshow/ at Coney Island at the end of the month. They say they will have lots of perennials (and scarecrows) on sale there! Happy Gardening, t.
