Did this open large white flowers? Or did they stay small, orange, and mostly tubular. If the former, then it is Costus speciosus, if the latter, then it may be Costus curvibracteatus.

The flowers got bigger and lighter colored, but not white, just a lighter shade then they are now. --I purchased the plant from Stokes Tropicals . [this is as close to an expert as I am on the matter] I am definatly open to sugestion as I am not that knowledgeable about them. In looking at the pictures in the catalog now I think that you are right-once again I didn't get what I ordered and was too inexperiaeced to know the difference-I realy am enjoying growing these Gingers, but as you see I have a lot to learn---If I post a picture of the rest of the plant could you tell for sure?--Michael
