Which brug should I get?

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

I am trying to decide which dark pink/red/coral brug(s) to get... I'd like it to be as dark as possible with nice tendrils. Since Kell and Susie's wonder plant isn't on the market I'll have to 'settle' for something more commonplace. I need a brug that will perform well in southern heat and humidity and has lots of blooms. Even if a brug is otherwise wonderful, if it sulks in hot, humid weather or has only a few flowers I'm going to rule it out. Does anyone have opinions or advice on the following:

Pink Beauty
Butterfly
Rosamond
L'Amour
Vixen
others?

Where can I get any of these? I know JT Sessions / CountryGardens has Pink Beauty but what about the rest?

As soon as Tracey gets things in order, Im sure you will find many dark pink/red/coral brugs you would like here. http://www.angelsbyashley.com/
Ive read she send out some beautiful very healthy brugs!
If you can wait until fall, Im sure you can also get cuttings of most you would like.

Hibiscus, I'm very patient! And my agenda isn't that big - I didn't mean to get them all at the same time!!! I'm just trying to get some advice on which ones to try first.

Shelly, thanks for the link!

You must be talking about the red that Kell and Susie did. I would love one of those. I don't have any darks but my first was Dr Seuss, a yellow, and the smell was so good that I have kept it.

My first brug was Charles Grimaldi. Like Dr. Seuss, it is yellow/orange and smells Heavenly. Still have it after 5 years.

If I could only have one from your list, it would be Butterfly. In Iowa......It holds up well in the heat, it smells wonderful, it sets pods and is a good pollen donor, and the color is very good. It also is one that blooms frequently. I have not seen Vixen bloom in person, so I can't really compare her to Butterfly yet. The others are very pretty too.

If I were you, I would get them all that are on your list. All are great.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

lol I agree Kell! GET EM ALL TOM! :o)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

You really DO need them all. Seem to bloom well in heat and humidity.

Oh, y'all are such evil enablers... so they're all good and I need all of them? But then I'll have to convert my entire garage into a brug 'hibernation den' in the winter. Oh well :-)

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Any on your list would be good ones.Butterfly and PB are the easiest to find and I find that BF is darkest in our summer heat.PB holds up better than the others here.

Tom, go ahead and turn that garage into a Brug den. LOL I have a greenhouse but I filled up DH's garage with Brugs last Winter and Spring. He couldn't get in to get his tools in the back of the three stalls without moving some Brugs. We had partitioned off one stall with heavy plastic but they spilled over into two more stalls. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Tom, you got that right! That is exactly what alot on here do with their garages.

I am probably tearing the roof off mine,GH some day.
