A piece of my Hummer/Butterfly Garden

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

When I moved at the end of March the top priority for me was to get my hummingbird and butterfly bed in. As you can see, it has done very well. I have had three broods of swallowtails hatch since putting it in and loads of Ruby throat hummers.

It looks great Trish. I remember what it looked like when you first started it. It has grown very fast. Congrats

I've got you to thank Donna for a large majority of the plants in that bed!!

Here is a picture of an eastern swallowtail that just emerged and was pumping up and drying out in the morning sun.

MzMunchken, That is a really beautiful garden. The butterfly picture was particularly impressive. How did you put a garden so lovely in such a short period of time? You know, I have a lot of different kinds of plants in my garden but it lacks the cohesiveness of your garden. How do you do it? Anyone else with suggestions, I would appreciate it. Chuck and Loida
