Is it too early to get on a begging list for a couple of fall cuttings ? I would like a Maya or is it Mayla-I think it is varigated. I would gladly trade if I have anything one wants.

begging for fall cuttings
Charlotte: I don't have a Maya, or I would gladly add you to my list. I do have a list of things promised to people that I will start working on in September/October. We don't get our frist freeze until November, but my point is, I'm sure others have lists too, and someone will come along and put you on their Maya list...Is there anything else you are looking for? Most of mine are common brugs, but I might have something you could use...Gretchen
I will also be doing a lot of pruning this fall....I am terrible about remembering so you will have to remind me..
Kris
Thanks to both of you
I have the following all are new this years cuttings except the pink, which I bought last year.
Frosty Pink
Dr. Seuss (maybe)
Ollie
White suaveolons
I would be most interested in something diff color or varigated leaf. I like bright colors do brugs come in bright colors?
charlotte
Well, they come in bright colors if your lucky enough to hybridize and grow seedlings like Kell, Cala, Brugie and some others here. You might want to check out the galleries at ABADS or BGI when you have time... Mine are pastel or dual color like that of Frosty.
Is there a waiting list for cuttings? I'll be glad to trade what I have in the fall when we we get our first frost here (late Oct/early Nov). (IF everything goes well and there are no major catastrophes like a hurricane or my friends forgetting to water for me while I'm out of town!) Here are the named brugs I have:
Afterglow
Becca Lynn
Charles Grimaldi
Cypress Gardens
Jean Pasco
Sunray
I am intestested in acquiring Maya, Vixen, and a dark pink like Pink Beauty, Butterfly, Rosamond, or RK. Or whatever else I decide I can't live without :-)
[Edited to remove Snowbank, which can't be traded since it's patented. It's a bug magnet so you wouldn't want it anyway!]

i am in for any cuttings needing a home.
I like the sound of the varigated snowbank Tom. I'll try to remember to ask back later. Just wanted to get on one or two begging lists :)
charlotte
I don't think you can trade cuttings of Snowbank, since its patented. I think you have to buy it from an approved re-seller. I have one and its my least favorite brug...
Thanks for pointing that out, Gretchen. I edited my post to remove Snowbank from the list. The variegated Snowbank I have is actually a replacement for my "green ghost" of last year's Snowbank that sported back to solid green. I agree that it's a bit of a pain... the one I had last year got eaten by bugs so I'm going to see if it will do any better this year if I spray it.
Good luck with it Tom! Mine is growing at less than a snail's pace. I've seen pix of some gorgeous ones, but I doubt if mine will ever become one of those...
I would love to have a cutting or seeds from "Becca Lynn". My sister's name is "Becky Lynn", and I would love to start a "Becca Lynn" to give her for Christmas! I'm also looking for the daylily "Becky Lynn" if anyone has any seeds, or plants they would like to share. I don't have anything to trade right now :-(, as I am a "newbie" also!
Thanks!!!
Ginger
