Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thats what this was labeled as at the butterfly pavillion. They had some beautiful plants there! I have a whole new wish list of tropicals! :o)

That's much darker than the ones on the ABADS gallery -- very pretty! Is the Butterfly Pavillion part of a conservatory in your area? Looks pretty neat!

http://plantsdatabase.com/showimage/4146/ After looking at Monika's picture of GM, I'm not sure that what they have is the same. Look how Monika's kind of nod a little and the ones in your picture hang straight like a versicolor. Just my opinion and yes, I wish you could have pulled some dead blooms. Not very pretty that way.

Wow, Shirley -- even a big difference between the ones on ABADS and Monika's! Could it be the different growing conditions?

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

wow, I really love monika's picture. That nodding stance is really nice. And the tendrils are great.

Gretchen, I know there can be environmental differences. I sent Kell a Rosamond a long time ago. It blooms totally differently for her than for me. I prefer the look she gets. I'm sure that most brugs look a little different when comparing in cool and hot climates. Monika would have to say for sure if it is the same brug or not. I just didn't think they looked the same because of the way one hangs straight. I haven't had a chance to look at ABADS yet.

Oh I agree on the structure of the plant at the Butterfly Pavillion and Monika's. I would imagine the former is must be mis-labled. I was just surprised in the color differences between her's and ABADS, which is why I wondered if it might be the growing conditions. Thanks, Shirley! :)

I looked at the ones on ABADS. You are right. There is a difference. I'll take Monikas!! LOL!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I didnt think it was GM, but I dont know enough. My very 1st thought when I saw it was VO, then I saw the tag. Those are ideal growing conditions there. 80-90% humidity, and temps to match.
It is a conservatory Gretchen. It really is a neat place. Lots of tropical fish, millions of butterflies, and of course the tropicals! :o)
Thanks for the input on it ladies!

Sounds like a lovely place to spend a day or afternoon!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I want to go to this place! LOL Colorado is beautiful isn't it, Shelly?
Well, it looks like the one on ABADS to me. It is not calling my name, looks like a blah color on a blah brug! I am getting tough, huh? LOL

Now Monika's is fantastic, it has some oomph! LOL

WOW Gretchen, your hometown sure is a classy one!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Come on Kell! You are welcome anytime! Colorado IS beautiful! This close to Denver is... to say the least very busy, but the mountains are always in view, and the weather really cant be beat. As far as humidity, we are pretty dry, we complain to no end when it hits 45% LOL.
I have to agree you are quite tough Kell... but you can be! You have such beauties! Monika's definately has more to it. :o)

I sure think so, Kell :)
