Many of you will remember this thread,
http://davesgarden.com/t/417130/
when I realized I planted my M & H cutting upside down. Well, this just goes to show you that some brugs survive despite some of the things we humans inflict upon them.
Well here's the cutting tonight (still upside down, per Monika's advice -- thank you, Monika!) with her first bloom. She's a beautiful plant, and the bloom is quite lovely, I think:
Milk 'N Honey
LOL Gretchen. Too funny. Great pictures as usual.
Thanks, Shirley!
The upside down thread was pretty funny, except, had I not read it, I expect I would have done the same thing, LOL, not that it still won't happen, whew!!! Your Milk N'Honey is lovely, Gretchen, oh so pretty and doesn't seem to mind at all that it is upside down or up, which ever the case might be, LOL!!!
Thanks Sherry. I really do like this one. The flowers are huge and the plant has such a pretty shape. Its a definite keeper for me at this point.
lol glad to know it survived! Great picture! Ive admired this brug for awhile now. I may have to beg one from someone come fall. :o)
I almost missed this thread, what a great Brug this is,I am liking its traits so far, holds blooms(and I mean in big storms),has a great scent, and mine is putting out its third series of blooms this year, with the number increasing each time,
Great pictures, Gretchen even if it did start upside down. LOL
Thanks to you all!
Mine is in a protected area, so I can't vouch for the sturdiness as Root can, but with such a long calyx and stem, she "looks" fragile. I hope she'll continue to perform like Root's does.
Shelly, I'm sure I'll be able to spare a cutting in the fall, just remind me :)
You know how I feel about this one!!Great scent also.
Yes, Root! I came so close to giving her away, 'cause I didn't want a white one...boy am I glad I kept her!!!
Now you know what I mean, when I say,I like white! LOL!
You bet I do!
