Secret Unnamed Iris Trade

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

Hi Guys! Here it is at last. This is the sign up sheet for the Secret Unnamed Iris Trade. Here are the rules (and since this is my first time hosting a secret trade, they may be amended, so refer back from time to time).

We will be trading 3 different irises, of which none must be named, but they can be if you wish. Also, you may send more than 3 irises, as well as companion plants, but it is not necessary.

Send irises that are in good shape - not ones that have been sitting in a corner, out of the ground for 4 weeks already.

Many people like to soak the rhisomes in a bleach solution before shipping. Not necessary, but nice.

This is not for just bearded irises! Please feel free to ship any of the following (but also, look on the "Wanted" thread to make sure your iris will be welcomed). Some people just don't want any yellow flag iris.

Irises to trade:

Bearded
Beardless
Japanese
Flag
Siberian
Dutch
English
Spanish
Crested
Reticulate
Spuria

Please email me with the following information:

Put in subject line: Secret Unnamed Iris Trade

DG Name
Your name, address, city, state, zip

I will put all the names in a hat (okay, a bowl) and my son will draw names on Saturday, July 24. Plan to mail out the irises by August 4. If you need more time just email me and I'll send the information to your secret tradee. Don't let vacations stop you from participating.

Have fun!

Carmen

I've had several people email me, but no one here. What's up?

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

I would like to participate but would like the irises mailed to me in mid to late September. August is way too hot here for trying to start plants unless they are dormant bulbs.
