can anyone tell me what this is?
can anyone tell me what this is?
Looks like Doctor Seuss.
Where did you get it? If it is someplace that you can go back and chat with the people, or send an email, whatever it takes, maybe you can find out what it is. So many brugs have serration on the leaves anymore that I wouldn't want to guess at what it is. Whatever it is, it is pretty.
Very pretty...Brugie's right, but it sure looks very much like my Dr. Seuss...
I would love for it be to Dr. Seuss. I purchased it from a gentleman at a flea market so there is no hope of Id there.

Does it have a real sweet smell late in the evening? I have to say, also, that it sure looks like my Dr. Seuss.
yes, it does have that sweet smell. However, since I am new to brugs -dont they all smell sweet :)

I think most of them have a sweet smell. Some people say that some smell musky. It probably is DS, but without know the background, who knows. I have a bunch of seedlings in my garden that have serrated leaves and the chance of getting yellows from some of them is good. Yours could be a seedling. It could be Charles Grimaldi whose juvenile leaves are serrated. It could be DS. Here is a picture of a Suess I had a couple of years ago.
The flower on yours looks a little more melon or peachy and mine looks more yellow to me :(
Hmm.....

Charlotte: I have two yellow Dr. Seuss plants. The climate, soil and growing conditions can drastically affect the color and appearance of certain brugs.
Not saying that your brug is a Dr. Seuss of course, but here is a link to the ABADS Dr. Seuss gallery in which you will see the various colors of the bloom.
Here is one of my blooms from a couple of weeks ago:

My bloom is 12" . Can Dr. Seuss be that big?
