Yes; I agree very pretty and interesting with the two colors and green mixed in.

Do yours lop over and then bend flower stems up toward sun? have seen that. They're beautiful.

Thank you. They do fall over but hadn't noticed the stems reaching for the sun but now that you mention it I guess they do.

Mystic, I love these colorful little fellows. I've grown the mix that has pink, blue, or white tops...very eye catching. I get this one confused with another Clary Sage that has broad leaves and a purplish top...also interesting.

Weez I have really enjoyed them this year. I have the other Clary Sage you are talking about here someplace too. I need to go hunt for it. Weez do you know if you can save seeds from these and how?

I think the larged leafed variety is probably fairly easy to collect from, but I've never tried the ones like these. They bloom late into our summer, so perhaps they don't go to seed before the season is over. They don't seem to have what I would call a bloom, but rather the leaves turn color... of course, they must be blooms or they would be around anymore! LOL!

Yeah I know. I grew these from seed so I guess they do but I couldn't figure out where the seeds would be. lol

I have that problem with many of the plants. Usually it just takes one person showing you the seeds and you've got it figured out. That's one of the advantages of all these digital cameras we have! I've got a very savvy garden friend who told me it ain't seed if you can't roll in between your fingers. I think that is pretty much the case, because even seed that looks like dust will have a gritty feel when you rub it.

This year I started some Autumn Joy sedum from seed, as well as Hen & Chickens and Sedum Acre. They were all from seed collected, and granted, much easier to start from cuttings, but I just wanted to know if I actually had the seeds or not! LOL! Consequently, half way through the summer, I checked the starter trays, and I have succeeded in all three! I guess you just have to have faith sometimes... it's there!
