Hi all!
I see these two descriptions used interchangably and that doesn't seem right to me. Isn't an Angel Trumpet a Brugmansia and a Devil's Trumpet a datura? Don't Angel Trumpets hang down from a tree and Devil's trumpets face up from a bush?
Can you tell me why people use 'Angel Trumpet' when they are really talking about 'Devil's Trumpets" (other than to some people it may sound nicer)?
Any enlightenment you could give me would be appreciated!!

difference between ANGEL TRUMPETS and DEVIL'S TRUMPETS?
most people do not know the difference. when i am talking to people and telling them about brugs and datura they are looking at me with 2 heads lol. so i just tell them angel trumpet. one is annual the other perennial. most people are interested in learning others are not.
Onalee, you're right so far! This question comes up a lot... here's a recent thread on this topic: http://davesgarden.com/t/441986/
Thank you!! I thought maybe I was missing something in why so many people called datura 'angel trumpets' when I thought those were two different things!
Thanks again for the info!
Onalee
