Bauhinia aculeata

It is just starting to really bud out and flower. This is a small growing orchid tree that I've kept in a pot now for several years. In the winter time I let it go dormant but do not let it freeze.

How cute. There are so many plants I'd love to have were it not for the darned winters. I had a pink orchid tree started but could see I wouldn't be able to house it long, so I gave it to my BIL from Texas. They have to cut it back every year to get it in their greenhouse but it blooms like crazy for them.

Trish, does this root from cuttings? If so, can I please please have a cutting?

emh48... I've yet to see seeds on this, but then I really never looked. If it does do seeds I'll make sure you get some.

I'm growing exactly this one from seed and it is about 15 months old, 6ft. tall. It already bloomed twice. It is going to be a small tree. The blooms are lovely.
