Getting out of my truck,when I got home from work,I could smell something bad and rotten,started looking around,following the smell,until I came up on,my Raja Puri banana,it put out 3 leaves in April,and nothing since,well now 4 leaves got stuck and couldn't find they way out and rotted in the trunk,don't know whats gonna happen now,wonder if the whole plant will rot.
Looks rather odd !!!
Once the main stem is damaged or destroyed the plant will pup..I had a raja puri do the same thing this summer.Save the base of the plant and wait for pups.
This morning before work,took pocket knife and made a small cut down the side about 8 inches,and look what I saw when got home from work today!

Stopped again,did all that yesterday,and nothing today,maybe it just needs some rest!
Well today the half leaf opened and sent up a new leaf,well now there might be some light at the end of the tunnel after all!!!
That's a mighty fast recovery!
Oh I forgot to mention it shot up two babies as well!!!
