Wounded Feral Cat

Erwin, TN(Zone 7a)

My wife is a cat lover, and has taken care of all the strays that come by,-two of them appear to be brother and sister--the female had some balance disorder when she came back here some months ago and could not stand or run without falling and spinning around and around-[the vet thinks she ate a Blue Tail Skink ,and survived with permanent nervous system damage--but now she is a house cat and is very friendly and has learned to keep her balance---Her brother was taken in and nutered [that was a circus ,for those who have never managed to get a wild cat into a cat carrier] and given his shots--NOW--2 weeks ago he shows up with his leg tore up and swollen huge--off to the Vet He goes--after they decided he might live-[He had to be put out even to examine him]-He was moved to the bathroom in a big cage--we had to let him out because he was getting litter-and other worse things in his shreded leg--so now he is a house cat--He thinks we all need to be on the bed together--he follows us around purring and rubing on us and wants to be petted all the time--He is more friendly and docile than some of the cats raised in the house--no one would ever believe he was wild and crazy only a few weeks ago--any way his leg has filled in and the muscle is almost healed and the skin is starting to regrow on the edges--He is running around with out a limp now--BUT Dove [my Wife] wont let him back out side untill he is all healed-and now probly never again at night--because if the fox that tore him up got him She would never be able to stand it.
