Island Girl

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I'm loving Island Girl! It was a rooted cutting one foot tall (at the most!) early this spring. This is her second flush of flowers, she's in a 16" pot, and barely taller than my waist. Her first flush was about a month ago when she was still in a three gallon pot. If she had been in the ground, the flowers would have been spread around her like a tutu! The yellow blooms are just opening, the whitish ones opened yesterday or the day before, and the peach flower is a few days old. She has the perfume kind of brug smell, with a definite hint of orange rind added! Did I say that I'm loving her?

Very nice. I love the fragrance from VP and VO. They look somewhat similar to yours. Great staying power too. You are doing great with your brugs.

Very pretty flush of blooms, nice to the variation in color. Donna

Thanks, everybody! I have versicolor peach, too, and they are blooming at the same time. VP has more of a baby powder smell to me, and not as strong. I can run back and forth smelling them, but I would have to scoot one of them to the other side of the patio to compare the flowers side by side. Island Girl smells more like Milk & Honey with a little orange rind added to it, more perfumy.

Look at Creamsickle! It won't be long now!

I am obiviously not meant to have this brug, someone sent me a piece of it and it died imediately, then I bought some unrooted cuttings, it also died imediately. So you all smell double time for me!

I think AL is one that suffered during the aligator's visit. It looks pretty bad(the brug, not the gator, lol)
