Too late to plant dahlia?

I just lost my only dahia plant (via puppy) and I really wanted it to bloom, it was called Boogie woogie. I would like to buy another one and plant it. I live in a zone 4b . There is one on e-bay that I want. Thanks.

If you're buying a new tuber you need to know if it has sprouts (ask for a photo), it's a bit late but you might get away with it of the tuber is sprouting already. The sprouts might break in the packaging too so be prepared!

Why not pot it? That way you can bring it in and enjoy some bloom in the house before you let it die down.....
