Dragon Friut, Hylocereus undatus

Santa Cruz, CA

Does anyone know where I may be able to obtain a cutting of this epiphytic cactus.... I thought that I would try in the tropical first, then maybe the catus/succulent forum.
Anyhow, thanks for the help, not only are these yummy.... I have heard that they will grow well in my climate.
cheers,

You should try from seeds, they germinate in few days and they sure grow fast:)

We had one of these years ago at work..see pic its right above my head and to the right..would have hundreds of blooms at one time then no fruit. Rainbow Gardens nursery in Vista Calif sells cuttings of several kinds of Hylocereus.

They had a couple of containers at the Home Depot here in Moreno Valley.. they were in five gallon pots at 29.00 per pot, and they were two long strands per pot about three feet tall. They have mentioned them on the cactus forum about the third/fourth page down and supposedly are those used to graft those red, yellow, and green buttons on top that they sell at Walmart, etc.. maybe those could be cut off and produce the original plant? don't know for sure. I got a couple of small ones from a lady in TN, they are only about 6 inches tall right now. Hope this info helps.
