Need info on sending passiflora cuttings

Prattville, AL(Zone 8a)

I'm new to sending out cuttings and hoped someone here could help with some info on how it should be done..

Thx, Carol

P. Flwr. and hibiscus cuttings, the same way.....I wrap bottoms of stems in damp paper towel, put inside a ziplock bag and ship priority mail.

Dixiechick, I do the same as Hibiscus. I wet a paper towel, wring it out slightly, wrap the bottoms with it, and secure with a rubberband, and then I wrap with Saranwrap. I wouldn't put the whole cuttings in a plastic bag or in plastic wrap because, in the heat, they can bake and will look terrible upon arrival. Then I wrap the whole cuttings in newspaper or shipping paper and send with styrofoam peanuts so they don't move around during shipping.

Clare is correct, do not enclose in plastic in summer. I don't send out anything in July and August, as heat would cook whatever is in the box.

Thx for the info..

So should I wait til Sept. to send cuttings too? I'm sorry I just don't want to kill the Lil' Buggers :-)

That's up to you. Do you have enough cuttings if you have to replace them? Sometimes they are "mush" with being moist in box with all the heat.
