After I saw somebody scratching, I gave the cats their perhaps-not-necessary-but-still-occasional treatment with Advantage (the liquid that is squeezed onto the hair at the back of the head, between the ears).
Whenever we do this, I can't help chuckling every time I look at them. For about a day, they all have "spike heads." Looks like little buzz-cuts.
They usually don't complain, but obviously, Emily is not happy about this. Maybe they just do not like us laughing at them.
Cats are very protective about their dignity!
