Its only a Frosty X Frosty, but it's going to be fun to see if it ripens...

Must not have been both Frosties to get a pod.

Thats true, you might be surprised what you get.

hmmmmm...that's interesting, because all that was blooming at that time were three Frosties. Wonder if that means one is not a Frosty? They sure all look identical!

A lot of crosses in the past and probably some in the future have and will throw more Frosty's. If you didn't get the cuttings from the same person, you may have two different crosses. I think we have found that a lot of brugs have been labeled as Frosty because they are look alikes.

Well, I've been thinking hard on this one...The cuttings did all come from the same person, purchased on e-bay, but Dr. Seuss may have had that sole, first bloom at that time. I'll have to pay better attention next time. The really funny thing is that I've been dead-heading, and just missed that one. It will be interesting, if I end up with seeds.

Tons of different Frosties out there I bet! Great close up Gretchen. I am trying to remember if I have ever seen a suaveolens pod before.

Gretchen, I'm excited for you and cannot wait until I get a pod, oh what fun!!!!

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

Gretchen, I'm excited for you. That's one of the many things that has drawn me to these plants. All the phases that they go thru are exciting ............ the blooms, the pods, the possabilities of the crosses .......... on and on.

I hope I get some pods some day.

Will watch the progress to blooming plants....Like Forrest Gump said....."Brugs are like a box of chocolates.........ya never know what yer gonna git!" Hope some unique hybrids come out of your seed pod!

Thank you all! Since I was gone while 90% of my seedlings bloomed, and from what I could tell of the spent blooms, they were all white, it would definitely be fun to get something different... I have another baby that will bloom within the week "Whiskers X ?", so maybe I'll get lucky and have some color :)
