Hey everyone! those who I have "talked" to, here is Pupdog. He is so gentle and sweet. We almost lost him 2 months ago to heartworms. I will regret not getting the heart worm medicine. I noticed blood in his urine and took him to the vet.He had kidney damage due to the heartworms. The vet said we could do the treatment but there was no guarantee. I had to take a chance, for the kids. They love him. The vet and I decided to due the second step first. That's getting the "newborn/eggs" out of kidney. Since damage was done we didn't want more. We loved on him the whole night before. We didn't know if we would be bringing him home. We DID!! 1 1/2 weeks later we did the first step( getting them out of heart ) and finally 3 rd step. He will always have damage to kidneys, but he more time with us and he more valuable. We treasure all the little pets more so now that we came so close to losing one. Difinately will NOT take the chance with Sparky. Heartworms are deadly and if you have a pet that prone to them, its worth getting the shot/or pills.
