L'Amour.... won't be long now!!!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I'm really excited! This will be my second bloom to ever see. I've been watching this one closely all week long and now I should see a bloom, maybe by morning!

The foliage looks tacky.....this is from all the high winds. But I do have a cat on the loose chowing down on other brugs.

Mine has a couple of blooms on one plant that are open with some more to open soon. I love the smell it has. My other one has one bud open. I'm just anxious for a great big flush on anything, not just a few blooms on each plant. I figure I'll get three flushes on most beginning at the end of this month. Hope you have some pollen available to stick on this one. If not, be sure to save the pollen from her anyway.

Looks just great Brinda. Do I see a tropical theme going on too? Your new growth on the L'Amour is looking just great. Spray with BT, it is not an insecticide but kills cats fast. You are going to love this one!

I love tropical! That nana in the background has grown so much in just a month. And must have 6 or 7 pups on it. I cut it back last year and kept it in a dark room and it came back just fine this year.

Help me out Kell....BT? Remember, I'm new to this...what is it?

It works so fast. I love it! Lowes has it.

She still hasn't bloomed YET! Dang....I'm pacing in and out, back & forth! LOL I think DH is really tired of me! LOL His youngest leaves for the Army in the morning at 4:00 AM and DH is in a really miserable mood. If gold bars fell from the sky it wouldn't make him happy right now!

Well well....looky here! I just came in from checking one more time before going to bed, (4:00 AM will come early) and look what I found! And I also see more buds! Goody, goody! We have a huge company party on the 24th of this month and I'm hoping so much that I will have blooms for these people to see. I know I've bored them to tears talking about brugs all winter, spring and summer! LOL Hopefully she will be full of color by morning......I'll grab another quick pic then!

Oh thanks Shelly!!! I'm in love all over again! ***LOL I'm excited to see color now!

Hey Kell....btw, thanks for the link! I'll be looking for BT this weekend.

Everyone, please say a little prayer for DH! (And for Sean) He's taking this really bad! I know it will all be OK in a few days, but right now it is horrible!

BTW, did anyone see the ladybud hiding in the calyx in the first pic? I thought it was cute!

Your flower is beautiful even when not in color yet. Looking good! Such a big fat bllom.

Your poor DH. I would be in a mental hospital if my kid was going into the army. I will say prayer for your family! And thank Sean for taking care of us all!

Finally, it is unfolding. Probably by now it is standing wide open. Congrats.

I agree with what Kell says in the above post. We need to say a prayer for the safety of everyone of our guys/gals who are here/there to protect us at the blink of an eye.

Thanks so much everyone! Wow, last night was a long night! DH didn't sleep at all....I know he was out of bed at least 10 times, writing things down and pacing the floor. I felt so sorry for him. And 4:00 wasn't fun either. Sean was ready to go and after saying his good-byes he looked at Braden (my 9 yr old) and said 'Take care of the parents'!!! My heart is broken today, and there is no way I can know how DH is feeling! But, with prayer and God on our side everything will be fine!
