Can anyone tell me which one this might be? It was sold as just a *red* one...
Which Red Passiflora???
I'm getting antsy now that I see flower buds are starting to develop. ;)
I
I think it is passiflora vitafolia.
Yipee!! Thanks Flicker! I've read here that it is one of the easiest reds to get a bloom from. I couldn't believe it when I found it locally (within Saskatchewan)... I've tried every internet source within Canada without success.
I agree. Vitafolia.
Thank you...thank you...thank you, Monterey, Flicker and Rylaff! I am so excited...I have never seen a red one bloom!!
And it is gorgeous!! :D
I have some other ones ie. Ruby Glow, P.Jamesonii but I'm not sure if they will bloom for me here or not (last year they were very young).
Did you have to go over to Regina to find the plant? I put Miracale-Gro on mine and boom 7 days later, things start popping up. It's 10-52-10. I just took this. When I got mine it had a mealy bug thing on it, so it only cost $15 for a 5gal grown pot. It has filled in pretty good. That is a 5 by 7ft trellis. The plants next to it are Passi alta c. and victoria. I have 10 different Passis. Ruby Glow too

Naturally! ;) i've been bugging their biggest greenhouse since I joined Dave's...they had to bring something in to shut me up!!
Now how does someone in Citrus Heights, California know about Regina??? ;)
Here is that shot. I forgot I was in edit mode. Regina is like Sacramento to me . I saw on the map that it seems a lot bigger.Check out the side closest to us. It's full of red buds!
ah so ... I was beginning to wonder if you had travelled through here.
Your Coral Seas is gorgeous Monterey...I have one that is huge now and I really hope it will bloom for me. Any tips or tricks?
Miracle-Gro 10-52-10. I then put on the regular 15-30-15 after about 10 days. The 10-52-10 makes it flower, the other is for foilage growth. My P. victoria got pregnant. It isn't supposed to set fruit, but there they are. So I might get SEEDS! Usually it propagates only through cuttings. It's very nice.
