So mad at myself

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I had ordered a few different packs of what i thought were great crosses.
Got them planted in these long planters, well marked with dividers and labels. Good enough?
WRONG!! Torential rains filled the planters (i forgot to remove the plugs) and upended the dividers and lables, to add insult to injury, when i tipped it up to release the plug, half of the water and potting soil went out the other side.
I'm so disgusted with myself.
Even if i do get germination, theres no telling whats what. I'm sure everything has been mixed up.
I'm so mad

Heck at least you labled then, half the time I start them, and knowing what a wonderful cross they are I say to myself "I don't need to label them,I could never forget what they are cause they are so special "
a few days later I have no clue what cross they are or even if I planted them.....
and when I do remember to label then my cat will use the container for a litter box or a peacock will come along and pull the tag.....
Just do the best you can........it will all work out in the end....

Been there ...done that..join the club it happens to all at one time or another. :-)

Don't feel bad. Like Kyle says....it happens to most of us at some time. Just look at it this way.....now there is more intrigue and excitement when they do grow and get ready to bloom. You can play a guessing game with them now. LOL!

I do things like that all the time. I had harvested great pollen and switched from saving it in wax paper bindles to silver foil. I labeled with writing on masking tape. Stuck a bunch in a bowl in the fridge. How did I know the making tape would let go from the silver foil? LOL

LOL, okay now i dont feel so bad. (i think i might can convince myself of that, lol)
So, should a great seedling come out of this mess, what do i do then? Does it becomea no name?

No, you name it! It is just a mystery brug with no parents. LOL. It won't matter unless you are hybridizing. Most people on here have no clue on parentage, at least I do not on alot!

Do you have a list of all the possibles? If not too many and if varied, you may be able to figure out also by looking at the blooms.
