Good morning, everyone!
Mom and Dad came over for BBQ yesterday, and we grilled enough to keep both our families in food for two or three days! DD1 did all the cooking, DD2 did all the cleaning! DS and Dad entertained eachother (same mental age = 10 years old :-) Mom and I hung out in the kitchen slicing strawberries and clucking like a couple of ginea hens! Ah, this *is* The Life!
Dad was supposed to die of cancer over 10 years ago, but he has an excellent doctor and is really hard-headed (not to mention that we are Increadibly Blessed!). It's been a tough road, but it has taught us to treasure every moment - so, Catherine, I know you must be spending a lot of energy caring for/worrying about your mother and chemo and etc., but don't forget to take care of yourself, too. I definately overdid it driving Mom and Dad to doctors/chemo/etc. and staying up late listening to my Mom cry/etc. and totally forgot to take care of myself. Walking pnemonia forced me to get a clue. I'm hoping that your being able to hang out at Dave's Garden means you are treating yourself well, too. Many blessings and good thoughts to you and yours.
Lisa, I've been trying out the reverse thoughts now - "Dry up the earth a little for Lisa" - but I'm afraid to think it *too* much - for fear of the Almighty hearing me and bringing on a drought! LOL, take care. Glad everyone is safe. It's so good to see your humor throughout the situation. I hope I am as brave in the face of adversity! Anyways, I'm sure sometimes you just want to sit down and cry! So of course, when you do, drop on by Dave's Garden and we'll send some more good thoughts your way!
BTW, Dave, I cannot imagin cutting down trees with a hand axe! I *am* impressed!
I can smell the peaches ripening on the way to work in the morning! MMMM! Maybe peach cobler next weekend!
Take care everyone! Many blessings to you!
