I love the color on this one. I bought it as a pink V, but I dont know about that. Sure doesnt look pink to me.
Todays ginger bloom
I'm in love!!!
How do people in lower zones overwinter these beauties???
that is a georgous one rylaff. I got my butterfly today and its in the ground. I can't wait to see it bloom.
thanks.
I hope you gave it plenty of room. Those things multiply!!!!!!
Lilypon, mine die back over the winter, but come back in the spring better then ever!!
Sounds like I could put them under lights then and stop watering in December and start again mid January?
That is so pretty!
I imagine that would work. Obviously, I leave mine in the ground and in the pond. They do just fine. I had some that I bought at the beginning of winter really cheap. I left them in pots, whacked off the dying stems and kept them in the garage. In the spring, I planted them. Those have not bloomed yet, but you can see the size. (the gingers are on the right hand side of the banana. )
rylaff, If you Pink v. multiplies as fast as the butterfly I would love to addopt one or two. I love twins. I promise to give it lots of love and a very good home. Keep me in mind when the time comes to divide. Thanks. It's really a beauty.
Thanks for the info Rylaff...I'm going to be getting a few. :)
Colors are beautiful!
Love that Nana!! I am going to see a Ginger bloom some day!
Yours sure inspires me to try harder!
Let me know later on how your white butterflies do. If they do okay, then we will work out something on the pink v's.
That is so gorgous!
I remember Lisa talking about that one, she said it looked like Elizabeth (pink) but had a wonderful scent that could be smelled across the yard!

This one is quite fragrant. It looks more like pink flame.
