What a gorgeous color of blue! Are you saving seeds?

Would like to put my order in. Trying to raise them on the side of the shed that is protected from winter winds. Heavily mulched also. 2 came back from seed.

Maxine - I've never had success collecting Buddleia seed. I've looked for them but I sure can't see them. I know they are in there and I've seen pics but I guess that's one seed I'm not talented enough to sort out of all the bloom. I'd be happy to send you some faded blooms if you wanna give it a try. Maybe someone with more expertise than me can offer some advice.

I save LOTS of other seeds don't know why I can't get this one right.

I also have the yellow Honeycomb and a reddish-purple one called 'Attraction'.

P.S. I sent you my SASE for the fleabane today.

Ok, I noticed yesterday that some of the fleabane is starting to fade in color, so shouldn't be too long.

Well, I would like to try the seed. I would wait until the blossom is real dark though. Possibly put seed head in paper bag?
I've done that when I didn't wish to lose seed or maybe forget to go out and get them? Old age memory, you know.

Great close-ups of the blooms. I'm planting this cultivar soon and appreciated such clear shots of established plant blooms. Also good to know that a 2 year plant got past 4 ft. We just moved in to a new construction and the garden is a start from scratch.

Belinda - I could try to start some for you this winter if you'd like. If it doesn't work then you could always buy one, but why not get one for postage if it works!

Coshocton, OH(Zone 6a)

thanks brenda! i would like that. postage is fine or we can trade for something else. belinda

Brenda, are you going to have any extra starts? If so, may I put in my order?

I always have something to trade or we can go the route of postage. What ever you wish.

Sure thing ladies. I've not ever rooted buddleia before, so this will be an experiment. If it works they should be nice size come Spring. I'll take several cuttings and hopefully I'll get 2 out of it.

Ha ha. I'm just trying to figure this site out. I've done a lot in my own journal this week, but I'm not sure how to access other members very easily. Any tips??? I did search recent newcomers from Ohio and emailed a few. Not sure if any will respond. Neat site.

Okay, I'm alright now. Figured it out through a different thread :) Thanks for the nanho blue shots! Have great days!
