I need to apologize for my long absence. I have not had a phone or even a car to get to the library to get internet. I hurt my shoulders, and did not get the hostas out of the ground, but can do them in the fall??? Let me know if that is a good time. I can send smaller divisions now, but the ones in the fall will be larger, probably 8-10 eyes each, ones now will be 1-3 eyes. One thought: it is not necessary to cut back hosta leaves-- even now in the heat they will ship perfectly; they also establish better if they have those leaves to produce food.
Also, transplanting them now would give them more time to become established before the winter, although they are pretty accomodating.
I have waited since April, I can certainly wait till September.

She's short, but her blooms are beautiful. She is really fragrant and the most beautiful pink....Thanks so much Riker!! I have your piece already divided out, it had 3 bloom stems on it, and it's a pretty clump, so when you get it, it already has its shape, and will be even bigger next year, I've been feeding it. IT does have two layers of roots though, so you might be able to take the bottom one off of it (I've done that on one of the others, and have a new baby clump as well). Sorry again Riker, your new baby is safe, and about 12" across right now.
Pink? It was always a lavenderish blue for me....wonder if soil PH and such mattered in bloom color.

Cool, I want to grow lilac so much, but none of the nurseries have any around here. Mom sent me a new hosta called Stetson the other day...really cool, sword leaves, kind of kurly, light white on border.
I have now been waiting since April for this trade to be completed. You recieved your rose bush as agreed, I have yet to recieve the hostas. I have gotten repeated emails from you giving me a ship date....those dates keep coming and going. I use to get email from you with the latest 'reason', excuss as to why shippment hadn't happened....I'm not even getting emails any longer.
I know things in life happen and they can take on far greater importance than plants, but hey I'd at least like to be made aware.
I regret having no choice but to leave a negative feedback post.......if and when I hear from you and the trade can be completed I will repost to a 'neutral'

Am just wondering if you ever got the Ginger (Pinecone/Shampoo) and other seeds that I sent you. I mailed them last month, and never heard back from you again, so was not sure.
I'm still waiting on postage for plants I sent on August 24th. Last I heard it was going to be mailed on Sept 9th. I am a member of another site where she has just become a member as of Aug 18, 2004. Think she left us here holding the bag to go over there. But I know many people over at that sight and have already alerted them of this problem that we are having now and that we had in April 2004.

Anyone hear anything from SpaceCowGirl lately? Last email I got from her said she was busy with 'family'. She never did actually say she'd be sending anything in the last email, so maybe I should truly just write this one off.
I got an email from her Saturday, the 18th. She said she was going to get a plant that she owed me into the mail. Will let you know if that actually happens.

Well, I did finally get confirmation that she received the rhizomes I sent. I assume, that since they were in the same package, she also received the seeds, too, although she failed to mention those.

As I posted on another thread concerning her.....I hope the beautiful rose I sent her as my half of our 'trade' will be a yearly reminder of how her commitments were not kept.
This is the second person I've found out about re trading. I know I won't be trading with either person. I do have a suggestion, however. Those of you who haven't posted feedback for SCG should do so immediately so that no one else gets burned.

Nothing from her here either, not even a squeek of an e-mail........zit..... nada.......
I have since left my feed back and I sure hope the rest of you do to. I know of others that have had problems with other people and due to the fact no one wanted to fess up it snowballed. Down the road some 3 or 4 trades later it is told well they did this and that but no one said anything. So do your feed back, this person has had time and if she does come through it can be ammended.
We don't do anyone any favors by trying to be the GOODGUY.

OK guy's now is the time to tell it like it is. She depends on people not wanting to hurt anyone. Maybe she has had problems, maybe not, who knows for sure? But she knows people and how to use them....People that have had drug problems learn how to play us...I know first hand having delt with this up close... Keep making excuses and they will keep using us..That is the way it is. Tough love helps them and it hurts us to do it, but it is best for them in the long run stop making excuses and take a firm line. I'm done with this now, make up your own mind but, If you do nothing stop complaining...cinnabor
If she has a drug problem, maybe a post on the prayer forum is appropriate. Has she discussed this with you?
I don't think that cinnabor was alluding to spacecowgirl having a drug problem, just using their behavior as an example of how spacecowgirl seems to be 'playing' us. If she does have a drug problem, I don't think it should be discussed on any forum (unless spacecowgirl initiates the discussion), whether she has played us or not.
WillowWasp and cinnabor are right. I have been giving her the benifit of the doubt to avoid being the bad guy. But I guess I have neglected my responsibility to the rest of Dave's Garden in trying to spare my own guilt feelings should it turn out that there was really a problem with her life in the end. I have to give her one more day to see if postage shows up today. If it doesn't then it will have been a whole week since she said she mailed it and EXACTLY a whole month since I shipped her the plant she wanted from my yard. This is as fair as I can be without putting any more DGers at risk of losing plants and money by trading with her. If postage doesn't show up I promise to post a negative feed back today.

I agree that feedback should be posted regarding our trading experiences with her, so that others will be forewarned. I'm giving her just a few more days to see if what she told me was the truth or not. In the meantime, I've posted a 'neutral' feedback, which I've got a feeling will be changed to a negative soon.
I do understand life seeming to 'bury' a person in responsibilities once in a while, but that person then should choose to not committ themselves to anything else until they can handle it. And they still have a responsibility to at least stay in contact, or at least have the decency to say 'Hey, I'm sorry, I just can't keep my committment.' Spacecowgirl seems to fall short on both aspects...and that's a shame...
Well guess what? No postage reimbursement today either. Is anyone surprised? I guess I'm leaving negative feedback.

Yes I guess she had better be on her best behavior. I alerted the folks at BGI to the way she was doing us and e-mailed the staff links to these post. They took a look and decided to deal with her.
They told her if she tried any of that buisness there they would not put up with it for one minute. I hope she took them at there word. I guess she didn't think Dave's members were BGI members tooo.....
I know first hand the staff of BGI has urged her to complete her trades with us and to satisify anything outstanding. As far as I can see that is about the best they can do at this point the rest is up to SCG.
And I wish she would be honorable and do this I for one would think better of her.

Sheryl told me she didn't go to the GA RU. I think this was right around the time she dropped out of Dave's. Her phones were out, she hurt her shoulder and the truck broke..other things happened but can't remember what all they were.
