ok, it's only Campsis radicans.
You like orange
That's a pretty one Linda. A brug in that color would be gorgeous.
Wow, Linda, it's beautiful. I was always afraid to grow it, afraid it would get out of control.
Linda, I LOVE it too, and i think I have one but it has not bloomed, I'm pretty sure because of the rain...I have my fingers crossed that mine will be as pretty as yours, it's beautiful, I love that color of rich orange!!! The leaves look like poison ivy, huh??
I think that's Campsis tagliabuana (C. radicans x grandiflora) 'Madame Galen'. Yours is beautiful! Last year I planted what was alleged to be Mme Galen on the utility pole in my front yard - this year it bloomed for the first time and it's looking suspiciously like plain old C. radicans - not nearly as nice as yours.
I just love flowering vines. This one is so pretty.
It surprised me too, this is the first year it has bloomed like that. I got the cutting from my Mother 3 years ago. We have a 'Madame Galen' at the Riverbanks Botanical Garden and I was admiring it on a recent visit. It was lighter orange to almost 'pinkish', but it was growing under a covering. I happened to spot this clump up on my roof (where it could get plenty of sun) and I got on a ladder to drop it through the pergola so that I could enjoy the blooms. It has a large seed pod if anyone is interested.
Oooh, Linda, I love your deck and your pergola, and those are some nice legs, oooh la la!!
