Maya is being a show off this week!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

She is more interesting than most because of her different colors displayed in a flush!

Wow! Beautiful Kell! Did ya just jinx yourself with the bugs?? ;o)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh, your brugs have been just beautiful. I'm still looking at basically GREEN here. I really enjoy your garden pictures.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

WOW! Beautiful! This is a flush, I only can dream of.
Kell, did you ever had mites on Maya? Caterpillars love her but I have no problems with the other pests.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Actually NO, Monika! And she is right next (actually touching) an EP that is being killed by cyclamen mites. I have to spray again today.

Cats will eat her till all that is left is the skeleton veins of her leaves.

I was just looking for a pic for David and I came across this tree in May!

Is Maya any less susceptible to insect damage than other variegated brugs?

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Very pretty Kell. You are an inspiration!
I want to come see your Brugs while they are all blooming!
How far from SJ are you?

Just beautiful Kell.

Whitewater, WI

THAT IS GORGEOUS!

I've lost two plants this winter one was Maya and the other Desiree.... shucks

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Ditto on the "THAT IS GORGEOUS!". One of my all-time favorites!

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

I have a Maya, thanks to Ada. I love it and I don't even have any flowers yet. It's so nice and healthy looking and the variegated leaves are beautiful.

It had some buds, but they all fell off when very small. So small that I was only guessing that they were buds. It looks like there are buds again ................ Your picture sure has me hoping that they are buds and they actually bloom.

Regardless, I will still love this plant even if I don't see one bloom.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Tom, Maya seems to attract caterpillars only. They love her. She must be very tasty lol. I never had aphids, spider- or cyclamen mites bugs or earwigs on Maya.

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

*speechless* and that's saying a lot for me!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Great picture. What are you feeding them Kell?

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Gorgeous is the best way I know to describe the flush on her. If I were in your yard, I would not know what to look at first because you have so many beautiful plants.

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the info, Monika. At least the caterpillars are easy to control. Kell, after seeing your picture I've decided I must get Maya! Looks like it produces a huge flush of flowers with better color on a much more vigorous plant than my Snowbank ever was. Hmm... can I fit one more brug in my garage this winter and still have room for the car?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is my 3rd year for this Maya and my best. I really haven't been feeding it much. I was looking at Brugie's seedlings and ran out this weekend and sprayed everything in my yard with MG! LOL. I did cut this root ball by half and the canopy severely in early spring. I think cutting it back made it branch more and get thicker.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I want mine to get this big

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'd sure love to have this many blooms on any one of my brugs. Awesome brug and your pictures are just great.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Me too Brugie .... me too!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Thanks Brugie. When I opened Dave's just now and saw this picture I thought God, I have to get that one! Then I saw my name. LOL

It is bloomless now!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I think I have Maya in too much shade. She's not doing so well this summer. How much light does your's get Kell?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Full sun. And she is on the cement (hey CC, I alway shtink of you when I write C-ment) driveway. But still not hot like where you are Susie!
