I bought 2 of these plants this spring. Never grown them before. They are not really growing. They are nice and green but are just kind of sitting there. We have had a kind of cool June. Could that be the reason? Temps are just now approaching 80 degrees. I have just installed a drip irrigation system so they will be getting regular moisture.
How fast do these guys normally grow? I had the impression that I would get a full sized plant this year, meaning several feet in height. Are my expectations out of whack?

Mine have gone from one foot to five ft tall in a few months, but they didn't grow till it warmed up.
Bananas love heat so when the weather warms up for you they will grow overnight.
Are they planted in the ground or pots and in what type of soil? I bought TC ones last year and they went from 3" to 3' in one season. Mine were potted in MG bagged soil to get them going then later put into the ground.
