Hi All - need some advice. I live in zone 8a and am about ready to plant some cuttings and one plant and I'm wondering, in my area do you think that I can put them in the ground and leave them all year or should I pot them and bring them in during the winter (of course I don't know where I'd put them!)? We have hard freezes and occasionally we get a really cold spell like in the teens. I'd really like to leave them in the ground, but after reading some things, I'm wondering. Anyone got any advice? I'd appreciate it.

In pots or in the ground?
Hi Marcia!! I'm zone 8a too and I keep some in the ground, and intend to bring some in this year for the first time. So far, and I'm green as grass, in our zone, it seems that the ones that winter outside get much bigger, when they come back each spring, but mine hasn't bloomedd as quickly in the spring as those kept inside. I put two large bags of mulch on them and the plant came back the first year and this year, it came back as two very large plants. We couldn't believe it, and now they are both around 7 feet +. Good luck!!!! SherryLike
