I have a bud!!!!

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

Okay I know for all of you that have been growing these for a long time this is not exciting, but I am out there doing a happy dance everyday as it is getting larger!!!

The cutting came to me last fall from Poppysue and I managed to keep it growing all winter and put it in the ground this spring!

I am so excited at the thought that I will actually get to see one of these for myself!

Thanks for letting me share my excitement!

How long will it be before it blooms??????

Happy for you. Shouldn't be too long, 3-4 days with good weather and no "disasters" like, wind, pouring down rain, hail, pot blowing over.........etc. This is what I usually have, when I am waiting to see a bloom.

Keep us posted. Does it have a name?

Thanks for all of the encouragemnt!!!! Gotta love the fact that other people know what you are feeling. I could talk to my sons about it and they would probably have me committed!!!!!
This is versi peach I forgot to add that when I posted the bud pic!!!

I am so excited to know it won't be as long before it flowers as I thought!!! It has about 6 buds in varying sizes on it, so I am really thrilled!!!

I was worried this morning when I went out that they would be gone, we had rain and a lot of wind last night that blew over some fairly heavy things, I was all most afraid to go look! They are all still in tact!! YEA YEA

WTG Alice. You are going to like this one. It really has a nice fragrance besides being pretty. Don't panic if it doesn't turn peach color quickly.

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

Color I hadn't even thought about that! I really don't care what color it is! I am just excited to have a bud!!!!

I know it doesn't take much to entertain me!!!!haha

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

I can relate. It's exciting isn't it. When I had my first pink, ever, about a month ago, I was dancing!

Show us pictures every day when it's in bloom, so we can see the changes in it as well.

Alice,
I am with you because I get so excited over a bud or two. I would like to live somewhere that is a bit warmer so they could grow all year round.

Hi All
Yesterday it was a yellow color in the morning but today it is white and opened up. I assume it will still get some coloring today during the day.
It is beautiful no matter what color it is!!!!!

Lots are yellow like that before they open all the way up. Has your second bud opened also? It looks good. I bet it turns color very soon. Sometimes you can almost see them turn. It is so weird. Yours is so white though, usually you will have a tinge of color to begin with. I am glad you have achieved bloom, this is just the beginning! LOL

Yep,I love White,so do not dispair if it does not turn.

Alice, IMO your white blossom is beautiful, I love white and yours is very pretty. I hope my white one looks just like yours!!!

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

Its still white, which is fine, its very pretty and has a nice scent and I am just excited to have a bloom. This one has 3 more buds on it, and I am looking forward to all of them.

When Poppysue shared these, I think she sent out about 50 packages of at least 20 different brugs, I cannot understand how she could have confused any of them?????(haha) I hope you know I am only joking poppy! I am thrilled with it no matter what color it is! I so appreciate your sharing these with me!
I can only imagine how hard she worked getting these all rooted and then mailed out on top of it.
