When do water hyacinths bloom?

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Did I ask this already?

Mine are growing great- but no blooms so far.
Most are getting several hours of full sun.
Thanks guys!

They should have bloomed long ago.. Mine always bloom along with the water irises..Early spring.. Maybe they are just late bloomers..lol

We shall see next year I guess! just happy we got em. :)
Weeds` are so huge- man they are MONSTERS! lol

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Mine started in April and are still blooming.

Maybe you are taking care of them? They seem to do best when you try to kill them. We cleaned out some of our excess and threw them into some water standing in a track made by a big truck. They never stopped blooming, that was months ago.

The lady that owns the Lily Pad in Cashiers, NC says that if they don't bloom, turn them upside down for about 12 hours. This will shock them into thinking they're dying and they will try to reproduce and bloom. I haven't tried it; but I guess it's worth a shot with one plant to see if it works.

Imma try that now! Thanks.
