Has anyone successfully grown the classic white trillium in Zone 9?
They are lovely, but it appears that Zone 9 might be fatal for them.
Trilliums in the south?
LSP, I have tried the nice white trillium grandiflora here in Covington-z8b- and they have not ever come up. I don't think that they will work for you. Louisiana does have a native- trillium sessile- that grows in undisturbed woods north of the lake. I have 2 of those that I hope create a nice patch . Unfortunately we are too far south for woodland plants that everyone else grows.
I thought as much, Flicker, but wasn't sure. Thanks for letting me know. Please let me know how your trillium sessile does.
