Lupin Seeds for SASE

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

These lupin seeds are from Russell 'Red' but the tag states - seeds do not come true to parent. Please send SASE with enough for hand-cancelling because these are not tiny. Is it 49 cents?

Thanks will do.

I would like to try some!

Kooger, can you get the red lupine to come back every yr?
I have never had much luck with them
Would you be interested in swapping seeds of a pink varigated lupine for some of your red?

Thanks for answering my enquiry.

This one gets bigger every year. I do nothing to it except deadhead. Everywhere you read they are difficult and short lived perennials but apparently I have found the right spot for it. Definitely not moving it! :) I let some babies grow 2 yrs. ago and I think I'll know next year what color they will be. Sure would swap seeds with you tho!

Send me your address. Right now the pink variagated one is still blooming, but have it tied with yarn so I can save some for another lady.
My address follows:

Where do you have it located? full sun? I have amended SAND, but my lupines grow well in it.

Yup, full sun, fairly heavy soil. At least that's what my dad says compared to my DS's soil in Oostburg, WI. He put her garden in this spring for her and I gave her 2 Palace Purple Heuchera - he squeezes the pot, sticks in his finger and pokes around - says, that is some bloody heavy soil! lol

The question has been answered - here's the Russell Red Lupins today - the left half of the picture are young plants that I let reseed from the mother plant. This is their first time blooming. As far as I can tell, they are identical to the mother plant, just a few inches shorter. Hurrah!!! Hopefully everyone who I sent seed to will have the same result. :)

Wow. What a lovely family of plants!

When (hopefully :) you have more seed, i'd be interested in trading...
