Fertilizing Brugs

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

This is my first year growing brugs, and I understand I'm supposed to use a liquid fertilizer every other week. Well, it's been raining every day for what seems like forever. Can I use alfalfa pellets just on top of the soil and let the rain do the diluting? If not, what's the best thing to do? I really want flowers this year.

Thanks so much for all your help.

I fertilize with 20-20-20 twice a week. If they are planted in the ground, I don't think it is necessary to fertilize as much though. Can't advise on the alfalfa pellets. Hope you see blooms soon.

Brugie, thanks so much for the information. My brugs are in 5 gallon containers. How much 20-20-20 is good for that size container, do you think? I don't want to burn up my babies.

You won't burn them. I have used as much as 2 TBS. to a gallon of water, but 1 TBS per gallon is enough. You could pour that mixture through the plant all day and it wouldn't hurt it.
