I am hoping the next flush will be as dark as Mary's! But it has been so cool here! This weekend we may get into the 80s!
She may not have turned dark for me but she is a girlie girl
Mary, I just went and looked at your Suzanne and all I have to say is BITE ME!
I am green with envy. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I want your dark pink color!
Maybe the next blooms will be dark, it seems like maybe the first bloom on them is a little pale but after that they get really dark. This is my very favorite, so far. So Big!
I can just imagine what your pretty red would do here in the heat, can't you? Don't you want to send it to me to see?????????
I'm hoping for deeper color on mine with the next flush. It was cool when it bloomed here.
I love the shape on this one.
Patricia
I love everything about it! LOL. If mine gets to be Mary's color I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THHRILLEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!! All I need is DARK PINK in my yard to be happy! LOL
It was pretty dark in TX, can't remember if it was as dark as yours though Mary. I'll have to take a pic when it blooms again.
It has a beautiful shape. It is a pity with pink brugs, that the color depends so much on temperatures.
Absolutely gorgeous! Great photos Kell & Mary.
Beautiful blooms, Kell and Mary.
Especially Monika when you live in a Mediterranean climate!!
She sure is pretty Kell!
Thanks Shelly!
Kell and Mary beautiful shots of lovely blooms. So far I have only PB as a pink. All the rest that are in bloom are either yellow or white. If I cross pink on to yellow will the children resemble yellow rather than the pink, or is it possible to tell. Donna
I didnt know, that California has a mediteranean climate. Greece, Italy and Spain do have temperatures up to 110F.
What do I know Monika! LOL. But that is what I have heard for years. We can grow special plants here becuase of it. I live about 20 minutes from San Francisco and within a mile of the bay. We are a little warmer here than San Francisco in the summer and a little cooler in the winter, but not by much!
"Surrounded on three sides by water, San Francisco's climate is strongly influenced by the cool currents of the Pacific Ocean. The weather is remarkably mild all year round, with a so-called Mediterranean climate characterized by cool, foggy summers and relatively warm winters. Rain in the summer is extremely rare, but winters can often be very rainy. High temperatures in the summer are typically the mid to upper 60s Fahrenheit, while in the winter it virtually never reaches freezing. Occasional offshore flows of air bring hot air into San Francisco during the summer, when temperatures can reach into the high 90s Fahrenheit, but this is rare and it usually only lasts a few days, before the region's "natural air conditioning" takes over and cools the city down again."

Gosh, it's too bad she doesn't have any color, Mary. LOL! She sure is a pretty one. Mine is setting buds again. Can't wait to see her bloom here in the heat and humidity.
Oh gosh Mary, she is such a wonderful sight! Mine got no darker. Maybe the next batch! I sure hope!
Look at how tight those tendrils are curled!
Beautiful Mary!!
Mary, that is gorgeous.
Meant to say, yours is gorgeous too, Kell. Love the curled up tendrils. Wonder what it would do in hot, humid SC?
Its is beautiful Mary!!!
It's getting ready to bloom in hot and windy Texas. We'll see how she does here! Mine is not a big plant yet, but has three huge buds on her right now.
Susie, I'm anxious to see what she does in hot, humid South Texas. I don't have her yet, but she is definitely on my want list.
I was out early this morning checking to see if the wind blew any away yesterday and found the buds. I also found lots of cats eating my leaves. I am going to stop and buy Bt on the way home this evening.
I'll keep y'all posted on this one. It's between the fence and palm trees, so should get some protection from the wind.
I hope she blooms really dark for you and that the wind will leave the blooms on her for a few days. She really is a beautiful brug and I'm hoping for good results for you and me. LOL! Mine weren't dark in the cool weather when it last bloomed.
